Dr. B teaches an easy-to-use system of nine core tools for maintaining on-the-spot top performance in the field, on the court, or in the pool. When tension, loss of confidence, or distraction get in the way during an athletic event the athlete has to know how to ellminate or minimize these immediately. That’s what Dr. B teaches.

There is known, well-researched scientific relationship between stress and performance. When stress is too high or too low performance suffers.

As an executive, the stresses of your work are many. Unregulated stress can lead to exhaustion, burnout, anxiety, depression and a host of physical, psychological and spiritual problems.

When your stress is too high it will likely have a negative effect on those around you, causing absenteeism, accidents, job dissatisfaction, insurance claims, and high turnover. By addressing your own stress you are not only taking care of yourself, but you are being a model for those who work with you.

Dr. B coaches world class performers, including Academy Award and Tony award winners, musicians who have been awarded top prizes in national and international competitions, and well known public speakers. What is Dr. B’s background in working with performers?
Dr. B is an experienced performer himself. A prodigious piano player as a child, Dr. B became an Equity actor as a young adult and has gone on to direct and produce theater and opera in the US and abroad, working at The Sundance Institute, The Juilliard School and The Australian National Academy of Dramatic Art. In addition to his doctorate in Applied Psychology, Dr. B holds an advanced degree in music composition from Mills College. He is a master teacher in the Adler Fellowship and Merola programs at the San Francisco Opera, and the founder of The Singer’s Gym, a professional workshop for opera singers.
